Tara works with children, teens, and adults. She is collaborative, strength-based, and values the therapeutic relationship. Her approach is nonjudgmental and empathic where clients feel safe and empowered to strive towards personal growth that is rooted in self-awareness. She offers an integrative approach, specializing in self-esteem, identity, relationships, life transitions, depression, trauma and grief.
Tara has extensive experience with neurodivergent brains and in parent training. She spent over 20 years as a Special Education Teacher and this passion led her to pursue counseling as the next step in her career. She is deeply committed and excited to be using the approaches available to her as a clinician to help her clients. She received her undergraduate degree from Marquette University and completed her graduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Lamar University. She holds two master’s degrees, Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Exceptional Education.
Outside of work, Tara practices self-care through yoga, meditation, time in nature, and reading. She loves spending quality time with family and friends.
