Shelby enjoys working with people of all ages navigating life transitions, depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma. She has a special interest and experience working with Seniors as they navigate grief and loss and life transitions specific to aging. She draws from CBT, Mindfulness strategies, Attachment Theory, and Kublar-Ross model of grief in her work. Shelby is empathetic and practical.

Shelby has experience working in treatment facilities and alternative education centers with teens. More recently she has worked with hospice where her commitment to helping people navigate death and dying, grief, and loss turned into a passion. She earned her degree in Psychology from The University of North Texas and her Master’s degree in Social Work from Texas State University.

Outside of work Shelby enjoys relaxing with a book, gardening, going to the gym and practicing yoga when her very exuberant dog, Harvey, allows down time.
